Smarter Sipping

Browsing through Parents magazine, we found a short article that we wanted to share.

'You already know that giving your child a good breakfast can help her succeed in school, but it turns out that a drink of water might boost her brainprower too. A recent study published in Appetite found that school-aged children who drank approximately 16 ounces of water 40 minutes before taking a test showed improvements in cognitive performance, when compared with kids who didn't have a drink.'

We recommend sending your child to school with a water bottle (preferrably BPA-free) or encouraging them to stop at the drinking fountain whenever possible!
